Information from Erasmus

In 2007 it is 600 years since the first polder windmills were built in the Netherlands. Reason enough for the Dutch Windmill Society to proclaim it to be The Year of the Windmill. One of the highlights of the year will be an exhibition and an accompanying book about windmills in painting. Paintings, watercolors, drawings and etchings from the 17th to the 20th centuy will offer a stunning cross-section of the immense variety of works in the field.
