CODART is an international council for curators of Dutch and Flemish art. CODART aims to bring together individuals from all types and sizes of museums, with the goal to promote and encourage the exchange of expertise, works of art and exhibitions of Dutch and Flemish art worldwide. Therefore we are constantly looking for new members, associate members, museums and friends to extend our network.
Do you wish to join as a member?
Membership is open to all individuals working as curators of public collections with a significant share of Dutch and Flemish paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures and/or applied arts. CODART membership is not restricted to specialists in 17th-century art, but is open to all museum curators who are in charge of collections of art before ca. 1800 originating in the Low Countries. (If you are not eligible for membership, please check if you can become associate member or friend!)
Do you wish to join as an associate member?
Associate membership is open to individuals without a (permanent) curatorial position but whose work may be considered essential to the aims of CODART, such as research curators, specialized art historians working in countries or regions with museums with a significant collection of Dutch and Flemish art but without a (specialized) curator on staff and coordinators of institutions closely linked to CODART (RKD, HNA, Vlaamse Kunstcollectie, etc.). Associate membership is reviewed on a regular basis.
Do you wish to join as institution?
The CODART list of museums with Dutch and Flemish art on our website www.codart.nl is open to all museums with collections with a significant share of paintings, drawings, prints, sculptures and/or applied arts originating in the Low Countries. The CODART-website is not restricted to collections of 17th-century art but concentrates on art until 1900.
Do you wish to join as friend?
Are you a private collector, art lover, museumgoer who would like to support our work? Are you connected with a company interested in our cultural heritage? CODART has a program for donors and friends who wish to support the aims of CODART and to be kept up to date on all CODART activities.
